Little Features
These 2 little framed acrylic paintings have been selected by Aspire Gallery for the May Little Feature Wall. Showing from 2nd to 30th May.
The Gate on a Hill was painted from a photo I took of a country property near my home in Maleny. The contrast of angles between the hill and gate with the row of trees appealed to me.
A Pandanus Tree with a View was painted from a photo I took while holidaying on North Stradbroke Island, Queensland. The clusters of Pandanus leaves reminded me of a cheer squad with happy pom-poms waving to the Pacific Ocean.
I often paint trees with a view – the row of trees with the gate have a view down the other side of the hill capturing the Glass House Mountains. Both paintings are Acrylic on stretched canvas, oil varnish, framed size is 23.4cm (W) x 23.4cm (H) x 4.5cm (D).
