New Watercolour Paintings

Just Waiting for Breakfast

It was quite a privilege to share a deserted beach with this majestic pelican. Created from my photo resources taken while sailing on the Gold Coast Broadwater with one of my sons. We anchored early morning between North and South Stradbroke Islands at Jumpinpin and I think this pelican was hoping we had some fish scraps to share.

Watercolour on Arches 300gsm Cotton paper (Requires Framing) 59.5cm (W) x 42cm (H) x 1cm (D)

Available at Bluethumb Online Gallery: judi-parkinson/just-waiting-for-breakfast and from my Series: Water Birds and their Environment – bluethumb.com.au/judi-parkinson/series/water-birds-in-their-environments

I’ve added a variety of 10 photos of the recent Pelican Watercolour Painting to my iStock/Getty Portfolio – these are Royalty-Free and ready to DL and print – large sizes and high Rez. Some are close-ups of my techniques using salt, toothbrush splatter, paraffin, masking fluid, washes and dots. Visit my portfolio: istockphoto.com

These 2 paintings of Jacaranda trees are listed separately but would make a lovely pair.

Nature’s Pinata

Jacaranda season in South East Queensland is always beautiful, and always inspirational for artists. I love the contrast that Jacaranda trees display – the strength of their trunk and branches against the delicate wispy flowers. This painting has been created from my own photographs taken at Crosby Park in Albion, Brisbane.

Watercolour (Requires Framing) 21cm (W) x 29.7cm (H) x 1cm (D) – BTW – Bluethumb offer a framing service. Try it out virtually on the link… Available at Bluethumb: judi-parkinson/Artwork/nature-s-pinata

October Windfall
