New Landscape Painting
An Urban Oasis
I’ve painted ‘An Urban Oasis’ in my studio, and below are some photos of the work in progress. The resource was one of my graphite sketches I did last November in the gardens of the Caloundra Regional Gallery in Queensland. It was a beautiful day, sunny and inviting, and I was again with a group of fellow artists sketching en plein air.
This little selection of trees, branches, foliage and grasses rests in-between the gallery and the Sunshine Coast Library, and council offices were across the road, in the distance. Surrounded by buildings – these beautiful gardens are quite an oasis for visitors.
Acrylic on stretched canvas. Ready to hang – 45.5cm (W) x 60.8cm (H) x 3.7cm (D).
